Global Tutors is committed to safeguarding all students, particularly those under 18. All tutoring is delivered online through the Global Tutors platform.
Global Tutors is owned and managed by Yeutopia Pty Ltd (Australia), which oversees all child protection procedures, tutor screening, safety policies, and safeguarding management. Global Tutors Pty Ltd (South Africa) functions only as a local support and billing entity and does not manage child protection processes.
This policy outlines the standards required of all tutors, students, parents, and staff.
2. Scope and Purpose
This policy applies to all tutors, students, parents, guardians, and staff involved with Global Tutors. It aims to:
- Ensure compliance with Australian child protection laws, South African requirements, and international standards
- Promote awareness of child safety
- Establish clear reporting procedures
- Maintain a safe online learning environment
3. Tutor Responsibilities
All tutor screening, police checks, safety training, and safeguarding oversight are managed by Yeutopia Pty Ltd.
Promoting Student Welfare
Tutors must ensure student safety and conduct all lessons through the Global Tutors platform. All interactions must remain professional and focused on education.
Online-Only Instruction
Tutors may not meet students in person. Any attempt to arrange in-person lessons is a breach of this policy.
Maintaining Boundaries
Tutors may not request or share personal contact details. Tutors may not communicate with students outside the Global Tutors platform or engage in personal relationships with students.
Appropriate Lesson Environment
Tutors must teach in a neutral, distraction-free space. Inappropriate visuals, content, or background activity are prohibited.
Professional Conduct
Tutors must use respectful and inclusive language. Any offensive or discriminatory behaviour is prohibited.
Session Recordings
All sessions are recorded for safety and quality control. Recordings may be reviewed when concerns arise.
Reporting
Tutors must remain vigilant and report any signs of harm, abuse, criminal activity, or student discomfort. Failure to report concerns may result in disciplinary or legal action.
4. Online Safety
Session Monitoring
Recordings support safety and accountability.
Parental Supervision
For students under 16, a parent or guardian must remain available during lessons.
Technology Usage
Tutors and students must use only the approved Global Tutors platform. Communication through personal channels such as WhatsApp or personal email is not permitted.
5. Reporting Concerns
Concerns may be reported to info@globaltutors.co.za or through platform support.
Global Tutors may review recordings, interview involved parties, or escalate cases to South African or Australian authorities depending on the location of the student.
All reports are handled confidentially.
6. Compliance
Non-compliance may result in:
Tutor suspension
Service termination
Legal action
Permanent removal from the platform
7. Children Under 18
Tutors teaching minors must ensure students feel safe and supported. They must report any signs of discomfort, risk, or disclosure of sensitive information.

This policy is reviewed regularly to ensure compliance with Australian child safety laws and international best practices.
