Verónica

Verónica is an accomplished IB Science educator and academic tutor with a strong background in Chemistry, Environmental Science and Biochemistry. She has taught IB Chemistry SL and HL, IB Environmental Systems & Societies (ESS), General Chemistry, Biology and Combined Science, supporting students across international-school and online learning environments.

Alongside classroom teaching, Verónica has extensive experience in assessment design, exam preparation, IA supervision, curriculum development and personalised tutoring. She brings a particularly strong academic and analytical foundation to her teaching. She holds a Master's degree in Energy & Environment, a degree in Industrial Biochemical Engineering and a PGCE from the University of Buckingham and also pursued doctoral studies in Biochemical Sciences at UNAM.

Verónica’s IB approach is highly focused on examiner expectations, precision and independent thinking. She works closely with command terms, markschemes and past-paper questions, helping students identify whether lost marks stem from gaps in knowledge or difficulty interpreting and responding to questions.nFor IA support, she guides students through investigation design, scientific reasoning, data interpretation and analysis, while ensuring the work remains authentically their own.

Verónica has extensive experience supporting students preparing for IB Chemistry examinations, including both SL and HL.
