Bronwyn

Bronwyn is an engaging and student-centred Cambridge educator with around five years of teaching and tutoring experience across international and South African curricula. She specialises in English Language, English as a Second Language and English Literature, with additional experience teaching Geography and Life Sciences.

Her teaching experience spans Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge Lower Secondary and AS Level, as well as CAPS. She has taught learners both online and in person across the UK, Spain, Italy and South Africa, giving her a strong understanding of working with students from different educational and cultural backgrounds.

Bronwyn combines a warm, supportive approach with a strong focus on critical thinking. Her lessons encourage students to ask questions, explore ideas and develop the confidence to express themselves clearly rather than simply memorising content.

Bronwyn follows a student-centred approach informed by social constructivist learning principles. She uses open-ended questions, discussion and guided activities to encourage students to think independently and develop their own understanding.

Her lessons are adapted to each student's level, learning style and academic goals. She places particular emphasis on developing reading comprehension, written communication, analysis, critical thinking and academic confidence.

For English students, she works on both the technical and analytical aspects of the subject, helping learners strengthen their grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, writing structure and ability to communicate ideas effectively.

Alongside her classroom teaching, Bronwyn has experience supporting learners with diverse educational needs, including ADHD, autism spectrum conditions and anxiety or social-emotional challenges. She uses patient, flexible and encouraging strategies to help students remain engaged and make steady academic progress.
