What each paper covers

Paper 1 (Macroeconomics / economic pursuits as examined) - 150 marks (2 hours)
Paper 1 typically focuses on circular flow, business cycles, public sector, foreign exchange and economic growth/development themes. Draw and label graphs neatly - unmarked axes lose easy marks - and define terms before you discuss them.

Paper 2 (Microeconomics / contemporary issues as examined) - 150 marks (2 hours)
Paper 2 usually covers perfect and imperfect markets, cost and revenue, price elasticity and contemporary economic issues. Compare market structures with a clear table of characteristics before evaluating a scenario.
